Artist Profile: Dean De Benedictis and Vic Hennegan

This is a short clip from Dean De Benedictis' and Vic Hennegan's radio concert.

Previously, Californians Dean De Benedictis and Vic Hennegan played on Galactic Travels once before. For show #602 on October 16, 2008, Dean and Vic played a live radio concert which may be heard in Galactic Travels Podcast #7. They returned on show #756 on October 1, 2011. Their interview from that program may be heard in Galactic Travels Podcast #8. A short clip from this concert is in the player above.

DEAN DE BENEDICTIS: Dean's music is the result of his will to tie an essential common thread together between opposing genres and mentalities as well as draw from them a natural sense of emotion, expanse and mystery. This Southern California-based visual and conceptual artist, known as Surface 10, has always utilized his interest in a variety of styles and cultures to enrich the quality of his musical expression.

VIC HENNEGAN: An artist and a spiritualist, Hennegan contemplates the state of humanity through his music. Hennegan's instinctive hand creates techno-trance and ambient music in a wildly fun, uplifting spiritual experience that will take your soul on a journey to the center of ecstasy. His music emanates a unique warmth which moves the listener to a state of euphoria.

Following their radio concert on Galactic Travels, Dean and Vic went on to play on other radio shows and at a concert festival in the area. Their time in the Northeast culminated with a performance at the Soundscapes Concert Series before continuing on to play at City Skies in Atlanta.
